Over half of the housing stock of Tru consists of small apartment buildings and single detached homes, but duplexes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About one third of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s. Transportation
Tru is very car friendly. It is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this part of Kamloops, and parking is quite easy. On the other hand, Tru is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, house owners are served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the city are located in areas that are not particularly well-suited for walking as most daily needs are at times challenging to meet on foot.
Services
It is a rather short walk to get to daycares and schools from any location in Tru. With respect to eating, it is easy to access the closest supermarket on foot in this area. Additionally, property owners won't have to look far to take advantage of the nearest cafe.
Character
The character of Tru is exemplified by its calm ambience. This area is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are quite peaceful. Finally, although Tru does not contain any parks, parks are very well-located in nearby neighbourhoods, which makes them very easy to reach.
