Uplands is located just northeast of Masonville Mall, and many residents are within walking distance of the shops and restaurants there. Uplands has a number of neighbourhood parks: Heron Haven, Northbrook, and Virginia. Virginia is in the south part of the neighbourhood and is the largest.
