About Living in Chilliwack, British Columbia
Transportation
The best method of transportation in Chilliwack is usually driving. It is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, this city is not a very pleasant part of the Greater Chilliwack metropolitan area for moving around by public transit. Nonetheless, homeowners benefit from about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily relatively close by. Most homes for sale in this city are located in areas that are not very well-suited for those who travel by foot since very few daily needs can be carried out by walking.
Services
Parents may consider it difficult for their schoolchildren to access high schools and primary schools on foot. Furthermore, daycares are not especially plentiful and thus not always within walking distance. When it comes to food, reaching one of around 30 supermarkets on foot is an option for some, but not all, property owners in Chilliwack. Residents benefit from over 150 restaurants and cafes as well.
Character
The noise levels in Chilliwack are reasonably low, as the streets are generally tranquil - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially close to Trans-Canada Highway, one of the railway lines or the airport (YCW). It is very hard to reach parks in the city since they aren't well-located. Still, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to relax in.
