Transportation
Aberdeen is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, from any home in this part of the city. On the other hand, public transit riders may have few choices in this part of Kamloops as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are generally nearby. Aberdeen is not very conducive to walking because many daily needs are impractical to carry out without having to resort to a car.
Services
Families will welcome that wherever their home is located in Aberdeen, daycares and primary schools are nearby. On the other hand, there are no high schools in Aberdeen. With regards to food, some, but not all, property owners in this area will live within walking distance of the closest supermarket. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well.
Character
The character of Aberdeen is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. Public green spaces are easy to access since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in. This area is also fairly good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Trans-Canada Highway.
