Transportation
Sea Island is an extremely convenient part of Richmond for travelling by car. It is very convenient to access a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit network in Sea Island is not very practical. Thankfully, there are a multitude of rapid transit stations on the Canada Line Skytrain. There are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most homes are near a bus stop. This part of Richmond is not very convenient for those who travel by foot because many daily needs are at times challenging to meet by walking. The bike is a rather limited method of transportation in Sea Island because the bicycling network is not very well-developed, and riding is rendered strenuous by the often steep area.
Services
Some, but not all, property owners in Sea Island will live within walking distance of the nearest grocery store. There are also a limited number of opportunities for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity. Regarding education, it is a reasonably short walk to reach daycares from most homes for sale in this area. However, there are only a limited number of primary schools in Sea Island and accordingly they can be an extended walk away. Likewise, Sea Island does not have any high schools.
Character
A highlight of Sea Island is its extensive selection of green spaces. There are over 100 public green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, which makes it very easy to get to them. Finally, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets, this part of Richmond is relatively serene.
