Transportation
Eastwood is an extraordinarily good part of Kitchener for getting around by car. It is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 7, from anywhere in Eastwood, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. In contrast, the public transit network in this neighbourhood is not especially practical. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Travelling by foot is not very common in this part of the city, even though many daily errands can be run on foot. Eastwood is also not very bike-friendly because cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.
Services
The closest supermarket in Eastwood is generally only a rather short walk away. Furthermore, this area is a good place in which to go out to eat. Home buyers can find a fair number of clothing stores within walking distance. With respect to education, families will appreciate that wherever their property is located in Eastwood, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. In contrast, there are only a limited number of daycares and therefore they can be an extended walk away.
Character
There is a very good selection of green spaces in Eastwood. It is very easy to reach public green spaces in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Due to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of Kitchener remains relatively quiet; however noise levels are higher closer to Highway 7 or Highway 8.
