Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Bicycling is convenient in Grand River North because there are a fair number of bike lanes. Many of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very conducive to walking as many daily needs are sometimes difficult to meet without the use of a vehicle.

It is a reasonably short walk to access primary schools from any location in this area. However, there are no high schools in this part of Kitchener. As far as food is concerned, in all but a few cases, a vehicle is required to purchase groceries. Nonetheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and accordingly some staple foods is generally easy. A small variety of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

Grand River North offers a calm environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are around 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to discover, such as Kolb Greenway and Kolb Park, and they are especially well-situated, which makes it easy to get to them from most locations within this area. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as the streets are very calm.
