Kitchener is a very convenient part of the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area for travelling by car. Most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 7, and it is very convenient to access a parking spot. In contrast, commuting by public transit is difficult in this city. Nonetheless, there is the Kitchener Station with access to the Kitchener Line. There are plenty of rapid transit stations with access to the 301 | Ion. Homeowners have access to about 30 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. The bicycle is a good mode of transportation in this city since the cycling network is reasonably comprehensive. In contrast, walking is not very popular in Kitchener, although meeting daily needs is convenient on foot.
