Vanier allows home buyers to travel by a variety of modes of transportation. The public transit system in Vanier is practical. Rapid transit stations, including Block Line Station and Fairway Station with access to the 301 | Ion, are not very far away from the bulk of houses in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually very close. Travelling on foot is also quite practical for residents in Vanier; running common errands is easy on foot. The bike is a somewhat poor mode of transportation in this neighbourhood because there is a significant amount of elevation changes. Thankfully, a few bicycling-friendly areas exist, and Vanier features a reasonably good cycling infrastructure.
Services
Schools and daycares are convenient to reach on foot from any location in Vanier. Regarding food, a supermarket is usually reachable within a reasonably short walk from most properties for sale in this neighbourhood. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and a small number of coffee shops is available as well. It is also easy to access a selection of clothing stores on foot.
Character
There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Vanier, despite its sometimes busy ambience. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Wilson Park and Wilson Park Natural Area, and they are especially well-situated, which makes them very easy to get to. Lastly, due to the presence of few people out and about on the streets, this part of the city remains relatively quiet; however there can be more noise for those who are around one of the railway lines, Highway 7 or Highway 8.
