Transportation
Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of Mississauga. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, from any location in Gateway, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. House buyers can also count on public transit to move around in this neighbourhood owing to about 10 nearby bus lines. Gateway is not very bike-friendly as the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and riding is rendered arduous by the often sloping topography. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for residents in this part of Mississauga as few daily needs can be met by walking.
Services
Some property owners in this part of the city may have the option to buy their groceries on foot in one of around 10 stores, while others will have to turn to another means of transportation. On the other hand, Gateway is a good place in which to go out to eat, and a small selection of cafes is available as well. With respect to education, it can be difficult to walk to high schools and primary schools from homes for sale in this neighbourhood. Likewise, daycares are not especially abundant and thus may require a rather long walk to get to.
Character
Gateway offers a great variety of green spaces to enjoy. Green spaces, like Derry West Greenbelt and Danville Park, are very well-distributed and there are about 10 of them close by for residents to relax in, making it easy to access them. Lastly, it remains relatively calm in this neighbourhood, due to the presence of very few people out and about on the streets.
