Transportation
Queenston is a fairly convenient part of St. Catharines for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run on foot. This area is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. On the other hand, driving is an excellent medium of transportation in Queenston. It is very convenient to park, and it is a short drive to the closest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, from any location in this neighbourhood.
Services
A grocery store is usually accessible within a reasonably short walk from anywhere in Queenston. Likewise, this area is a good place in which to eat out, for example along St Paul Street, and home buyers are served by a few cafes as well. In terms of education, families will appreciate that wherever their property is situated in this area, primary schools and daycares are close by. However, Queenston does not contain any high schools.
Character
The character of Queenston is exemplified by its calm ambience. This part of St. Catharines is quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near Highway 406, Queen Elizabeth Way or the railway line. Lastly, there are approximately 10 parks close by for residents to visit and they are very well-distributed, which results in them being easy to reach from most locations within this area.
