About Living in Vaughan, Ontario
Transportation
Driving is very often the favoured way to navigate this part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 407, and parking is easy. However, the public transit network in Vaughan is not very practical. Nonetheless, property owners profit from the Rutherford Station and Maple Station with access to the Barrie Line. Homeowners are served by many rapid transit stations with access to the orange | VIVA ORANGE, blue | VIVA BLUE and Yonge - University Line. The city is connected by over 50 bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Cycling is at times difficult in Vaughan since riding a bike is rendered strenuous by the often hilly area, and there are a limited number of bike lanes. Thankfully, a few pleasant sectors for cycling exist. Walking is also not particularly feasible for residents in this city because carrying out daily needs is occasionally challenging.
Services
Accessing one of over 100 supermarkets by walking is feasible for some, but not all, property owners in Vaughan. Residents benefit from over 600 restaurants and coffee shops as well. When it comes to education, parents and their kids will value that wherever their house is situated in Vaughan, daycares and primary schools are close by. On the other hand, high schools are not very plentiful and accordingly not always within walking distance.
Character
The character of Vaughan is exemplified by its calm environment. It is easy to reach public green spaces in the city, since reaching the closest one is easy from most houses. There are over 200 parks nearby for residents to discover, including Matthew Park and Vaughan Sports Village. This city is also reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be peaceful - although that is not the case close to one of the railway lines, Highway 407 or Highway 427.
